DIGITAL FEELINGS is an innovative prototype project dedicated to creating a series of engaging digital media arts workshops specifically designed for children aged 8-13. Our primary objective is to promote mental wellness among participants by exploring emotions and feelings through the captivating world of digital arts. Our unique approach focuses on developing a groundbreaking artist educator model that combines artistry with therapeutic techniques.
The ADVENTURES IN FILMMAKING project consisted of free media arts workshops for children and youth (ages 7-13) in the fields of digital illustration, 2D animation, and digital video and film production. These workshops were offered at the Blue Mountains Public Library.
The primary objective of the project was to provide hands-on training led by professional local artists. The workshops aimed to showcase the creative process, software, and technology utilized in the creation of digital illustrations, animated films, and live-action productions.
From 2019 to 2022, the SGBMA administered the Creator Space initiative in South Georgian Bay, which provided public access to digital art equipment, computers, training, and professional artist mentors through partnerships with local libraries.
